Trial and Error
Dear Doux Readers,
It has been a few days since the last time that I ranted about something, but in this case- I have to rant to you all a little more. For days now I and a few other magazine/news companies, or websites have been seeing very similar features. I do understand that we may have the same ideas, or you may just look off of my News Site, or another for ideas...But originality is key to everything.
If I see that I created a post, and then I see that you created the same exact one with a few words changed- that is not only plagiarism, but proving to us websites, or magazine/news companies correct. If you cannot come up with a(n) article of your own without copying someone else's ideas. Then think. There are billions of things to talk about, or to write about. I mean lets get over the fact that no one will be first to any topic; i.e. fashion. Millions of players create a new type of outfit, or style everyday on 'Smallworlds.com'.
All I am saying is for you all, if you are going to create a website- please create your own ideas. If you see that you copied a layout of someone else's website- please change it. Before you get mails from that person complaining that your site looks similar to there's.
We all make mistakes. No one is perfect. Remember that this is a game. Remember that feelings are real. Remember to love, and not to hate.
Before Doux was fully developed, or ever really known we ran into complications with a very famous magazine on Smallworlds. That magazine you all may know of as Elvaux Magazine. It wasn't my intentions as I didn't read that magazine daily, and I checked it very rarely. When Doux was first created I was not the one who did the version 1.0 layouts- if you didn't know we had another owner when Doux was in it's testing stages. (no-name) took advantages and set me in the middle of something that was solved very quickly, because if you act mature, and speak the truth- you can make great friends/allies with that specific company, or person.
To this day I enjoy the news, and variety of articles that Elvaux Magazine provides to us readers. They are a great magazine, and they did some amazing things for the Smallworlds Community. They also brought us all closer with contest/parties. What there goal is and what they contribute to us players, and the Smallworlds Community is amazing :).
Our site was then changed by me, and the other owner, or ex-owner of Doux; (no-name) didn't like it, and he (no-name) trashed Doux. Then the next day, after me begging him- he gave it back. I was thankful for that, but I am more thankful for you all- the readers for taking Doux above and beyond. I couldn't say it enough, but all of the readers, or viewers mean something to me in several of different ways.
All Love,
Noah Thorn.
