End Cyber-Bullying NOW!

Dear Doux Readers,

Today I'd like to talk about some serious topics that I see throughout Smallworlds.com , and several of other game sites. As some of you may know that Doux has recently started, and it got a lot of attention from Smallworlds citizens- which is amazing! But I am here to talk to today about such a serious matter, and this thing needs to stop today.

Smallworlds was created in June of 2008, and I remember that day like nothing- as I was told I was the 71st player to join (who really knows). Anyways, back then was a really fun time! You had staff, moderators, and helpers who would just love to follow you to your space, and become friends with you. Sadly, I left in 2010 of November I think, and I probably shouldn't have left, but real life was more important around that time.

As I come back to Smallworlds in 2015 of December I see a lot has changed for one! Two, some citizens have gone bonkers! When I came back I was welcomed with someone giving me threats, and such other nonsense, and that was easily taken care of with a simple report. I was then cyber-bullied on another platform, and a whole different site. (It was a fan/spoiler site for Smallworlds players). I won't bring the name of people, or players into this topic, because they don't deserve to have respect from another site. The staff of that site though understood that somethings were out of hand, and they did remove threads, or warn people.

It wasn't until I was located by a player, because Smallworlds.com had a hole, or loop that they fixed short after- that I found out that some players take cyber-bullying to the extreme! I was on this fan site trying to defend another player (no-name) who was being bullied, and then I was getting jumped on, and such because that is the way that site works. (Until the team is notified on that site). I was then told by a citizen on that site that my IP was found, and at first I was like what? And then it got to become serious. It dawned on me that when someone has your IP you can be found, and or tracked to your exact location. Then I jumped on it, and took serious matters into my own hands! I did everything you should do; I mailed Smallworlds Support, and they did somethings about that player being in Smallworlds, and such.

Where I am coming from is that people do the most extreme things to cyber-bully you, and then they will do more to make you 'Fear For Your Life'. I've been cyber-bullied on a couple of sites for stating an opinion, or just talking to friends. (I understand that not everyone will like each other). Now that I am an adult no one has scared me, because I've come to realization that yes some of these "hackers" are kids, and some can be serious! You NEVER know so sometimes it is best to take matters into your own hands by; Contacting Smallworlds, and then if it is to serious you need to go to your local police department! Cyber-Bullying is not okay! It leads to deaths, worries, attacks, and more scary/harmful things! Bullying as a whole needs to end, and people need to remember that they are just playing a game to have fun. Not to bring things into real-life, and become worried about so many different things! Smallworlds is a place to have fun, and for some to escape reality, because no one knows what others are really facing in there real life!

We are people. We are humans. We have hearts. We all care. We are strong. We are fighters. We are supporters. We heroes. We are US! We can only help so many people, but we can all come together, and help each other! If you read this whole thing- I hope you look back at your life, and maybe except the fact that you may have once been a bully, and you either call, or mail that person that you are sorry! Sometimes it is better to say sorry- then to not say anything at all.
